Feel free to make a copy of the sheet so that you can write your own notes. Be sure to pay attention to deadlines. While this list is not exhaustive, it will contain lots of local and KHS only scholarships, especially as the year goes on!
Bridges "BTC" (Bridges to College & Careers) is Bridges' after-school program at KHS. Starting Tuesday, August 15, BTC will be meeting in the cafeteria after school every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:00. We provide snacks, homework help, and the opportunity to hang out with some great people, play games, and talk about important matters of life and faith. We also offer the chance for you to participate in some awesome field trips! If you're new to Bridges at the high school, you can pick up an application in the main office or counseling office!
Teacher Appreciation Week - May 6 - 10, 2024 Teacher Appreciation Week 2024 The Kokomo Public Schools Education Foundation is happy to provide Kokomo School Corporation students, parents, former students, and Kokomo community members a way to show appreciation to the district’s teachers – past and present. Complete this Google form to #ThankATeacher in Kokomo Schools for their influence or impact on your life. Education Foundation officials noted that “We truly recognize and appreciate how our teachers play such a pivotal role in our children’s lives – inspiring a lifelong love of learning and discovery while making a difference in their well-being and long-term success." These notes will be delivered to teachers for National Teacher Appreciation Week! Send a Thank you Message!
KHS COLOR GUARD Attention Current 9th – 11th Grade Students: Do you love to make new friends, perform, compete, and travel? Would you love to earn a PE credit and a Fine Arts Career Pathway while doing all those things? If the answer is yes, then the KHS Color Guard might be for you! The Kokomo High School Color Guard will have its auditions for the 2024 marching season on Tuesday, April 23, Wednesday, April 24, and Thursday, April 25 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. We will meet in the Kokomo High School Band Room. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! We are looking for students with great attitudes, a good work ethic, and a fun personality. You will learn a flag routine so wear comfortable clothing and shoes. No jeans are allowed. If you are unable to attend these days and are interested, please email Mrs. Wideman at dwideman@kokomo.k12.in.us! We hope to see many of you there.
